Nutrition and environment

Plants obtain carbon, hydrogen and oxygen from air and water. Soil is both a rooting environment and part of the nutrient system. Total element content alone is incomplete.

Phosphorus and potassium

Phosphorus supports energy transfer; potassium contributes to water regulation and enzyme activity. Nitrogen supports proteins and growth. Fluorine is a different element and is not a substitute for phosphorus in NPK.

Organic matter

Organic matter supports soil organisms, structure and water retention. Decomposition can release nutrients; the timing depends on conditions.

Mineral availability

Total potassium or phosphorus in a material does not establish crop availability during a season. Assess available forms and compatibility with the existing programme.

GLAUVITA information

Discuss batch analysis, intended use, application method and product-specific evidence. A confidential formulation does not prevent provision of the characteristics needed for a sound decision.

Assess soil conditions, nutrient availability and product evidence together.
