Conditions vary
Climate, soil profiles, water and land-use history vary within each country. Moisture and erosion are relevant in Kazakhstan; salinity also matters in irrigated Central Asia. These are screening questions, not a diagnosis of a particular farm.
Water and salts
Review irrigation-water quality, electrical conductivity, drainage and salt distribution with depth. Nutrient deficiency and salinity are different problems. An amendment cannot replace water and drainage management.
Test before selecting
Agree sampling depth and method with the laboratory. Consider texture, pH, organic matter, available nutrients and salt indicators where relevant.
Evaluate a mineral material
Review composition, nutrient availability, physical properties and safety. Glauconitic materials need assessment for the specific soil rather than a universal fertiliser claim.
Plan a pilot
Define the crop, existing management, control treatment, application plan and evaluation criteria. NOVA starts GLAUVITA discussions with the farm brief and an agreed assessment programme.
